I just had a wonderful deviation from fast food burgers at the Hopdoddy burger bar on Anderson Lane in Austin. We arrived for lunch about 11:30 on a Friday and got right in. By 11:45 a huge line had formed outside. I love a place where there’s a compulsory urge to go wash your hands and face when you’re done. When my wife is along the number of times she tells me I need to wipe my face is always in proportion to how much I’m enjoying the food. She had to tell me several times today. This place uses only natural grown and hormone free beef, fresh ground on premises every day. Fresh buns are baked all through the day as needed. I had the “Goodnight” burger which came fully loaded with Tillamook cheddar, bar-b-q sauce, caramelized onions, jalapeños, and oozing with something called “sassy sauce”. Incredibly delicious and incredibly juicy. The patty was done to perfection and was oh so juicy and tender. A good supply of napkins was needed to get through this one folks.
